History
Greenview has been worshiping and witnessing in the Pollokshaws community for over 130 years.
1873
Church established in 1873 church in Templar’s Hall, Main Street.
1876
Purchased its first building in Woodrow Street (near the present police station).
1920
Church purchases Greenbank Hall (where Harriet Place is today).
1932
Moved to present site and building (which was originally the church hall of Pollokshaws East Church of Scotland) on corner of Pollokshaws Rd and Leckie St
1953
Extension added to give better facilities to meet increased needs.
1996
Extension demolished & current larger extension built.
Over this time Greenview members have gone out as Missionaries to India, Northern Rhodesia (Zambia), Ethiopia, East Pakistan (Bangladesh), Brazil, Argentina, Tanzania and Lebanon. Their work has included medical aid, building projects, children’s homes, education and radio work.
